Nevis Currency: The currency used on Nevis is the Eastern Caribbean dollar (EC$). Most restaurants and stores on Nevis will accept credit cards as well as US dollars.
Nevis Island Entry Requirements:
Passport requirements: Entry requirements vary for each destination, it is your responsibility to verify you have the correct documents prior to travel. July 1, 2005 a valid passport is required for travel to Nevis. January 1, 2006 a valid passport is required for travel to all the Caribbean and Mexico.
Driving on Nevis: Driving is on the left-hand side of the road in Nevis. Anyone planning on renting a car in Nevis will need to get a permit from the Nevis traffic department (cost: about US$7.50).
Voltage on Nevis: 110 volts is most common on Nevis, but 220 volt electricity is available in some areas.
Nevis Island Time Zone: The island of Nevis falls in the Eastern Standard Time Zone. Nevis does not observe daylight savings time - Nevis is one hour ahead of the North American east coast during the winter.
Language on Nevis: The official language of Nevis is English. Creole is also spoken by some residents of Nevis.
